Pick a cut

Why it matters

There's a difference you can see.

Chicken is slaughtered by hand here, cleaned here, and cut here. You can stand at the counter and watch it happen, and ask the person doing it whatever you want.

That's the whole idea: a short distance between the bird and your kitchen, and nobody in between you and the person who prepared it.

Our process

Hand-slaughtered.
Right here.

Four things happen to every bird before it reaches your kitchen. None of them happen somewhere else.

If you want to see how it's done, come by and ask. We'd rather show you than describe it.

  1. By hand, one at a time

Every bird is slaughtered by hand at the store. No line, no machine, no rush.

  2. Halal is the work, not a sticker

Halal is how the work is done here, start to finish — not a label added at the end.

Certification details will be published before we open.

  3. Cleaned and cut to order

Whole, halved, quartered, skinned, boneless — you say it at the counter and that's how it's wrapped.

  4. Home the same day

It's cut and wrapped the day you take it home.

Why Barakah

Four reasons people come back.

Hand-slaughtered
Not shipped in, not pre-packed. Slaughtered by hand at this store.
Fresh
Prepared the day you buy it, so it cooks like chicken is supposed to.
Local
One shop, one neighbourhood. You'll see the same faces behind the counter.
Care
Cut the way you ask, wrapped properly, and checked before it leaves.

The counter

Whole birds and every cut.

Poultry is priced by weight and the price moves with the market, so we set it at the counter. Build your list here and we'll confirm the total when you pick up.

About

A poultry shop, run properly.

Barakah Poultry exists to do one thing well: sell chicken that is halal, fresh, and prepared where you can see it.

That means a smaller counter than a supermarket, and a shorter distance between the bird and your kitchen.

Barakah

Blessing. Goodness that grows.

It's the word we chose because it's the standard we're trying to keep — in how the birds are handled, how the counter is kept, and how you're treated when you walk in.
